Market & Client Service Changes and How You Can Help

News

Fishline has been helping our neighbors in need for nearly 63 years. We are committed to providing necessary services to the North Kitsap community during this challenging time.

We announced yesterday that we would be operating with modified services starting Monday, March 16th. Client services will be remote only via phone, and beginning Monday we will be distributing boxes of food instead of having people shop in our market. Click here for more information about those changes: https://fishlinehelps.org/2020/03/11/update-on-fishline-response-to-covid-19-market-and-client-service-changes/

We are still in operation and doing our best to continue to serve our neighbors in need. Here’s how you can help:

– WE NEED YOUR HELP – now more than ever. We understand it might be difficult to get to a grocery store, and as such we are highly encouraging financial donations over food.  Our buying power through Northwest Harvest and Food Lifeline allow us to stretch our dollar further, while stocking our inventory with our client’s most needed items. Any donations you can provide financial, food, or gift cards will be very appreciated. You can share a financial gift directly to Fishline here: https://fishlinehelps.org/get-involved/donate/

– We have asked our volunteers who may be at risk or not feeling well to please stay home and take care of themselves. Unfortunately, that means we may also have a shortage of volunteers! We are in need of short term (or long term) volunteers who can help with the packing and distribution of food to our clients. Email [email protected] if you can help. If you are a current volunteer, please check in (call or email) before coming to Fishline as we are practicing social distancing as recommended by the CDC and as thus restricting shifts to small groups.

– Our NPA (no permanent address) clients continue to need our support. Donations of gift cards to local food establishments and hygiene items for our NPA packs are greatly appreciated. These can be dropped off at Fishline or mailed to Fishline, PO Box 1517, Poulsbo, WA  98370.
