As we navigate these uncertain times, I want to take a moment to reflect on our community’s resilience and strength. Fishline and our community have weathered many storms in the past, and I am confident that we will get through this challenging period as well.
Our commitment to serving those in need remains unwavering. Federal funding constitutes only about 10% of our annual budget. This means that the majority of our support comes from generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and the unwavering spirit of our community. We are deeply grateful for your continued support, which enables us to provide essential services with grace and dignity.
At Fishline, we believe in treating every individual with respect and compassion. This commitment extends to all aspects of our operations, including our policy of not checking immigration status. We are here to serve everyone in our community, regardless of their background or circumstances.
We have taken significant steps to enhance our services and address many of our clients’ barriers. From expanding our market hours to include Saturdays, to implementing remote case management and launching a mobile food market later this year, we are dedicated to making our services more accessible to all.
