Charlie Thompson, Executive Director
Charlie comes to Fishline with more than fifteen years of nonprofit experience and more than thirty years in positions of leadership. Charlie attended College of the Ozarks where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre. He went on to obtain his Master of Arts in Theatre at Missouri State in Springfield. After teaching at a community college in Kansas for three years, Charlie moved to Portland, Oregon where he met his wife Kim.

Charlie and Kim have moved around a few times for school and work. After getting married in 2007, they moved to South Bend, Indiana so Kim could attend graduate school at the University of Notre Dame. That is where Charlie first started working for a nonprofit. Several years later, they moved to Tacoma for work and an opportunity to be closer to Kim’s family. A few years later, they had an opportunity to move to Minnesota for another nonprofit opportunity.

Charlie has acted in and directed dozens of theatrical productions. He has completed more than a dozen marathons (including Boston in 2006). He served on the school board for Inver Grove Heights Schools. He enjoys golfing and watching football (both kinds). He and Kim enjoy hiking, biking and camping together. As a family, they play games, including Catan and Ticket to Ride.
