Children’s Holiday Help

Registered Fishline clients* can sign up for Children’s Holiday Help between December 2nd through December 6th during our market hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 11am – 4pm; Tuesday and Thursday, 10am – 7pm.

In December 2023, 380 children received gifts due to the generosity of North Kitsap residents and businesses. We anticipate serving more families in 2024!

Through the Children’s Holiday Help program (formerly Christmas Child) parents will receive “Holiday Bucks” to be used at local shops. This program helps both businesses in North Kitsap as well as families in the community.

How do I sign up?

If you meet the qualifications below, you can register upstairs at the front desk December 2nd through December 6th Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 11am – 4pm; Tuesday and Thursday, 10am – 7pm.

Please bring one of the verifying documents listed below.  

Qualifications: 

  • *Must have been a registered Fishline client as of November 1, 2024.
  • Children are 18 years of age or younger and 
  • Guardian(s) resides or works full-time (32+hours) in the North Kitsap School District or Bangor 

Must provide one of the following dated within the last 12 months: 

  • DSHS benefit/award letter 
  • School registration/enrollment 
  • Tax return for this year or last year 

Document must show the residential address, guardian(s) name, and every participating child’s name. 

Each qualified child will receive Holiday Bucks to spend at participating local businesses (listed below). 

    What are Holiday Bucks?

    Fishline’s Holiday Bucks are vouchers that look like play money. They can be exchanged at participating local businesses for items for your kids. The Holiday Bucks expire on December 25th (no extensions or exceptions).

     Donations to support the Children’s Holiday Help program can be made by visiting our donation page here. Please choose an amount to donate and then select “Children’s Programs” from the dropdown menu.
