Material Good Donations
We have a thrift shop where we accept donated items. Our retail operation accepts clothing, home decor, small kitchen items, linens, jewelry, and books in gently used and excellent condition. To donate to our stores, visit the rear of the Second Season at 19689 7th Ave NE Suite 101, Poulsbo, WA 98370 between the hours 10am to 4pm, Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat.
Donation Sites
You can support Fishline by dropping off food donations at our main campus or in our collection barrels around town.
We also accept fresh produce donations from home gardens and farms and ask that you adhere to the safety guidelines located here.
Host a Fundraiser
Monetary donations are the most effective way you can help Fishline. Because of our buying power, we can turn $1 into $5 worth of food for our clients. Hosting a fundraiser is energizing, creative and a great way to draw community together. Put your idea hat on, talk with your friends or co-workers, and the sky’s the limit on ways you can turn fun into help for those in need.
Donor-Directed Funding
If there is a particular area you wish to help with, or you have a heart for a program or service and wish to donate to it directly, you can donate to our Donor-Directed Funding. You can choose the client need you wish to address with your support and learn from us exactly how your money was invested in transforming local lives. Please contact our Development Manager at [email protected] to learn more about this individualized approach to your giving plans.
Fishline is registered a 501(c)3 non profit organization.
All money, material, and food donations are eligible for tax deductible donation receipts upon request. Your donations help feed, clothe, and empower individuals to reach their full potential by providing a path toward sustainability.
Liability Protection for Donors
Both State and Federals laws protect donors from liability. In 1996, President Bill Clinton signed Law 104-210, the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act, to encourage donations of food and grocery products to non-profit organizations for distribution to needy individuals. The law protects donors from civil and criminal liability should a fit and wholesome product donated in good faith later causes harm to a recipient.
