Dear HomeShare applicant,

Thank you for your interest in Fishline’s HomeShare program; we look forward to working with you to find a compatible home-mate!

In order to participate, please be prepared to:

  • Complete a program application, including contact information for references who know you well
  • Complete an in-person interview with the Intake Coordinator
  • Sign Release of Liability and Consent to Background Check forms and pass a criminal background check

Additionally, Home Providers must participate in a home visit with the Intake Coordinator and Home Seekers must provide 30 days’ proof of income at the time of their interview (pay stubs, benefit award letters, and bank statements are all acceptable).

It can take up to seven business days to confirm acceptance into the program after the application is received and reference and background checks are completed. To expedite the application process, we recommend you notify your references in advance and encourage them to respond quickly. If we are unable to reach your references in a timely manner, we will be unable to process your application.

HomeShare participants are matched on the basis of compatibility; it can take weeks or months to find a compatible match. The HomeShare Program does not provide emergency housing, and placement is not based upon vulnerability. If you are experiencing a housing crisis, please contact Kitsap Community Resources’ Housing Solution Center at (360) 473-2035. The HomeShare program cannot guarantee a match for any participant.
