The food bank and administrative offices will be closed on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 3 at 10am.


School Supply Program

News

Fishline’s School Supply program is accepting donations for the 2019 school year now through August 16th.

Each year Fishline’s School Supply Program provides children in need with basic school for supplies for the upcoming fall.  The cost of sending students back to school adds to family budgets that are already stretched thin and some are unable to purchase items needed for their children. We greatly appreciate your efforts in helping us meet our goals this year to provide school supplies for those children .

We need:

  • Glue sticks
  • Colored pencils
  • Loose-leaf paper, college and wide-ruled
  • Composition books
  • Pencil Pouches
  • Plastic supply boxes
  • Washable color markers
  • Pens (blue and black)
  • Pens (red)
  • #2 Pencils
  • Erasers (pink pearl)
  • Spiral notebooks, college and wide-ruled
  • Pocket folders
  • 3 ring binders
  • Metal edge rulers
  • Backpacks

Fishline is Hiring: Volunteer Coordinator

Fishline Food Bank & Comprehensive Services in Poulsbo, WA is seeking an experienced Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, orient, train and manage its 300 volunteers.  This position is responsible for managing the dynamic weekly schedule of 150 volunteers for the food bank, along with volunteers in other program areas.  Currently 32 hrs/week M-F, with occasional evening and weekend work. Starts at $30,000 with paid sick and vacation and a medical stipend.  We’re looking for a confident, organized people person who is a great communicator, tech savvy, and can go with the flow of a busy schedule.  Possible increase to full-time next year.

Summer Food for Thought

News

We are now accepting registrations for Fishline’s Summer Food for Thought Program. You must be a North Kitsap School District student under the age of 18. Registration forms are available from counselors at all North Kitsap Schools until June 21, 2019. After that, registration will be available at Fishline, Monday through Friday during food bank hours of operation, and at all food bag pick up sites during their distribution times, beginning July 10th.
